How Antonio Sabato Jr. Fights Demons - The Actor Talks Faith, Grace, and the Future of Film
In December 2024, the multi-talented Antonio Sabato Jr. spoke with the Praise Pursuit about God, film, and future projects. Sabato Jr. has been a staple in the entertainment industry for decades, and his impressive resume spans many fields. We discussed his beliefs, his recent films, and his goals for the future.
Walking in Faith
“God has always been there for me—always; since I could remember, since I was a young boy,” Sabato Jr. expressed.
The actor’s strong connection with Christ has been a constant in his life and remains his daily foundation. It’s a relationship he keeps private, choosing to praise through prayer.
“I keep open communication with Jesus throughout my day and I have throughout my entire life,” he shared. “I keep it very close to everything I do, and everything I have in my life.”
His faith deeply influences his career, evident in his film credits and various roles as a writer, producer, and director.
The Power of Grace
One such project that reflects this integration of faith and career is the award-winning film, Grace By Night. It’s a powerful and emotional journey in which Sabato Jr. masterfully plays the lead role.
“It’s a redemption story,” the star described. “It’s one of those films that moves you and opens up your heart to let in a bit of light, hope and dignity for yourself and your inspirations and dreams.”
He mentioned that the film is helping people find a really peaceful place, and pointed out that Grace By Night is a movie for everyone, not just a Christian audience.
“What I have heard from the millions of people watching it (and how big it’s turning out to be) - is that it is opening the hearts of everybody, whether they want God in their lives or whether they believe in God or not,” he stated.
This type of positive film is what Sabato Jr. aims to continue making and producing, as a key part of his future work.
Films for Everybody
The producer and actor announced that his next project is titled 4:26 (based on the Bible Scripture Ephesians 4:26) in which “a married couple is infiltrated by the devil, and must fight through it with the grace of God.”
Sabato Jr. emphasized that people may not view 4:26 as a typical Christian film, and that’s exactly the goal.
“We want to make films that are the Hollywood movies that everyone wants to see,” he commented. “We want to reach everyone and go where people haven’t gone before.”
He continued, “We want to make powerful films that are for everybody.” With his extensive experience and strong faith, there’s no doubt that Sabato Jr. will achieve and surpass this aspiration.
