Faith and creativity go hand-in-hand.
We asked Takiyah Faith—a multifaceted singer, songwriter, poet, and business owner—how her faith shapes her work and the Scripture that’s meant the most to her. Her answers reflect a heart fully rooted in purpose and God’s truth.
Q: How has your faith influenced the way you approach your creative work and business?
A: My faith plays a huge part in how I approach my creative work and business. God has revealed a lot to me concerning biblical womanhood and beauty. I have been on a mission to pour out to other women in my poetry, clothing business, and ministry. My passion is to show women how beautiful they are: the way God sees them. I reflect this in my music and poetry; and show women how to be the difference in the clothing industry by promoting modesty as beautiful.
Q: What Scripture has been especially meaningful in your journey, and why?
A: The Scripture for me that has been very meaningful in my faith journey is Romans 6:1. It says: what shall we say then, shall we sin that grace may increase, God forbid.
A: These words have been pivotal in my walk because it taught me discipline and accountability. It keeps me grounded in Christ; not saying that I never fall short because I often do, but the Lord always gives me a soft reminder through the Holy Spirit to keep me on track. The Scripture Romans 6:1 definitely keeps me accountable.
